FIRs Registered for Trespassing and Thefts at ONGC Offshore Platforms in Arabian Sea

The Yellow Gate Police Station in Mumbai has registered FIRs against unauthorized entries and thefts at ONGC's offshore installations in the Arabian Sea. Nine fishermen were booked for allegedly trespassing into a restricted security zone near an unmanned platform on February 18, 2026. Separate incidents involved thefts of equipment worth over ₹1.6 lakh from unmanned platforms N-17 and HT in early February. ONGC security officials coordinate with the Indian Navy to protect these restricted areas, where only authorized vessels are permitted.
