The Forest Department in Chamba's Salooni seized 40 illegal timber logs, including deodar and kail wood valued at approximately Rs 2.5 to Rs 3 lakh. The operation targeted two houses in Bhinyu village after a complaint was lodged. Notably, the complainant was also found to be in possession of illegal timber. An investigation is underway to determine the source of the wood, locations of illegal felling, and potential network involvement.
