Manipur Gangrape Survivor Dies Amid Ongoing Investigation and Delayed Justice

A 20-year-old Kuki woman from Manipur, who survived a brutal gangrape during the 2023 ethnic conflict, died on January 10 due to complications linked to her injuries. Despite a complaint filed with the National Commission for Women and the case's transfer to the CBI in July 2023, no arrests have been made. Her mother described her as lively before the assault, which left her with lasting trauma and health issues. The investigation remains stalled, and justice has yet to be served.
