A Bengaluru case involving the deaths of newlyweds Ganavi and Sooraj has escalated with an FIR filed against nine of Ganavi's family members, including her parents. Sooraj's sister-in-law alleges Ganavi's family defamed Sooraj with accusations, causing him mental distress and leading to his suicide. The complaint also claims Ganavi's family threatened Sooraj's family and falsely accused his mother of dowry harassment. Sooraj's family also alleges Ganavi was reluctant to marry him, having been in love with another man.
