Thane Air Hostess Dies by Suicide; Ex-Partner Booked for Abetment

A 21-year-old air hostess in Thane, Maharashtra, was found hanging at her residence on December 28, 2025, and declared dead at a hospital. Her family alleged she was in a relationship with a 23-year-old man since 2020, who refused to marry her, threatened to expose her photos, and was involved with another woman. Following investigations into her phone and bank records, police registered an FIR against the ex-partner for abetment of suicide, citing alleged frequent assault and financial exploitation under the pretext of marriage.
