
Mumbai police and the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar (MBVV) Crime Branch recently conducted separate raids busting two sex trafficking rackets. In Andheri East, four hotel employees were arrested and two Ugandan women rescued, while the hotel owner and a foreign handler remain absconding. On the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, seven brokers were arrested and 10 women, including a 14-year-old minor, were rescued from a dhaba. Both cases involve charges under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, with investigations ongoing.
