Two individuals, Lokam Talik and Sangha Tarh from Kurung Kumey district, were apprehended by the Poma Panchayat Youth Welfare Society for alleged poaching activities within a protected area. They were found with wildlife meat, illegal weapons, and hunting gear. The PPYWS has formally complained to the forest department, urging action under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the Arms Act, citing violations of prohibitory orders and the Model Code of Conduct.
