
Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Deepesh Kumar, an overseer with Vadavucode-Puthencruz panchayat in Ernakulam, for allegedly accepting a Rs 15 lakh bribe to issue a warehouse completion certificate. The arrest occurred near Kakkanad Collectorate, with Rs 5.5 lakh additionally seized from his residence. Searches were conducted at his homes in Kasaragod and Bengaluru. Officials described this as the largest bribe trap in the department's history.
