Bengaluru Airport Employee Arrested for Murder and Burning of Woman’s Body

Bengaluru police arrested 34-year-old airport employee Mounesh Maitri for allegedly murdering his female friend Nirmala, 36, near Devanahalli. The charred body was found on February 25 in a stormwater drain, tied and wrapped before being set on fire. Investigations revealed a year-long extramarital relationship, with Maitri allegedly strangling Nirmala on February 21 and attempting to destroy evidence by burning her body. He was remanded to judicial custody after his arrest on February 27.
