Uttar Pradesh Police froze ₹325.25 crore in financial cybercrime cases in 2025, representing about a quarter of the total money lost by victims. This achievement, with a recovery rate of 24%, is attributed to prompt reporting on the National Cybercrime Reporting portal and the 1930 helpline. Since 2017, over 87,000 cases have been registered, with ₹382.25 crore recovered overall. The state has also expanded its cyber policing infrastructure and trained personnel to combat rising cybercrime post-Covid.
