Two Labourers Die in Chembur Construction Site Fall; Police Investigate Negligence

A construction site accident at the Adityaraj Springs project in Chembur, Mumbai, on February 28 caused six workers to fall from the sixth floor after a makeshift platform collapsed. Two labourers, Ramanjenellu Deshpogu, 55, and Vijay Kumar Maurya, 35, died from their injuries, while others remain hospitalized with serious injuries. The Chembur police have registered a case against six individuals, including the main contractor and site supervisors, for alleged negligence under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
