A Delhi court has convicted an MCD junior engineer, Ramesh Chand Jain, along with Surender Kumar Sharma and Surender Kumar Jangra, in a 2024 bribery case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) prosecuted the three for criminal conspiracy and demanding a bribe from a complainant for allowing house construction and threatening demolition. The court found sufficient evidence of demand and acceptance, with Sharma caught red-handed. The conviction is based on evidence including recovery of tainted money and corroboration from independent witnesses.
