Man Arrested for Stabbing Panjab University Student in Chandigarh Park

A 22-year-old Panjab University student, Suhani, was fatally stabbed in a public park in Sector 36, Chandigarh, after reportedly rejecting a marriage proposal from 28-year-old Vinay Kumar. The family cited caste differences and a recent engagement as reasons for refusal. Vinay, who had been pressuring her and allegedly harassing her after the rejection, was arrested within 24 hours near Sector 43 while attempting to flee. The murder weapon and blood-stained clothes were recovered by police.
