
In Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, a man named Sahun Khan was critically injured after villagers allegedly beat him on suspicion of attempting to smuggle three cows. Khan and two others were reportedly seen taking cows from a field; the others fled while Khan was caught and assaulted. He was treated at Alwar district hospital and referred to Jaipur for surgery. Police have registered a case against Khan under the Rajasthan Bovine Animal Act, and an investigation is ongoing. Khan stated he was called by the others involved, who remain at large.
