
Authorities in Maharashtra have detained two history-sheeters under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act to address rising criminal activities. Vaibhav Sanjay Varat from Beed, involved in at least nine serious cases including attempt to murder and robbery, was detained following an order by the Beed District Collector and sent to Harsul Jail. Similarly, Amol Jyotiram Gambhire from Latur, facing 15 cases such as assault and theft, was detained for one year and sent to central jail in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Both detentions aim to prevent further crimes and restore public safety.
