Surat Police Seize Cobra Venom Worth Rs 5.85 Crore, Arrest Seven Suspects

Surat police seized 6.5 ml of cobra venom valued at Rs 5.85 crore and arrested seven individuals linked to its sale, marking the first major recovery of such venom in Gujarat. The Special Operation Group acted on a tip-off and set a trap by posing as buyers offering Rs 8 crore. Four accused are from Vadodara and three from Surat, with the venom reportedly sourced from Ghanshyam Soni, who remains at large. The seized venom has been sent for forensic analysis.
