Police Arrest Two in Palghar for Attempted Sale of Ambergris Worth Rs 1.85 Crore

In Palghar district, Maharashtra, police arrested two men for attempting to sell 1.858 kilograms of ambergris, a banned substance under Indian wildlife laws, valued at approximately Rs 1.85 crore. Acting on a tip-off, authorities apprehended Kadar Gaffar Kargathra and later arrested supplier Kishor Mahadev Tapsale. A case has been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act, and investigations continue to explore possible links to a larger trafficking network.
