A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expanding its probe into the Sabarimala gold case by extending its investigation to Tamil Nadu. The SIT is searching for a businessman, Balamurugan, also known as D. Mani, who is alleged to be involved in a larger gold and antique diversion racket. This investigation was prompted by claims from Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala about an international antique racket. A businessman matching D. Mani's description claimed to be Subramaniam, also known as M.S. Mani, leading to further investigation to confirm identities and involvement.
