Two Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Run Over Police in Kochi

Two youths, identified as Shamnadh and Irshad, were arrested in Kochi for allegedly attempting to run over police officers during a late-night vehicle inspection on Kaloor Shastri Road. The incident occurred around 1:30 am amid intensified checks ahead of Assembly elections. Assistant Sub-Inspector Santhosh was seriously injured after being dragged on the car's bonnet. The accused fled but were later traced to Kollam district and taken into custody.
