In Thane, two men are accused of duping 12 investors of Rs 1.78 crore through a fake share market scheme promising high returns, with no arrests made yet. Separately, a businessman in Mumbai was arrested for allegedly defrauding a family of Rs 1.48 crore in a fake housing project, issuing dishonoured cheques and reportedly issuing death threats. Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
