Mumbai Cab Driver Killed After 40-Tonne Machine Part Falls from Trailer in Wadala

In Mumbai's Wadala area early Friday, a 28-35-year-old cab driver died after a 40-tonne industrial machine part fell from a trailer onto his vehicle beneath the Eastern Freeway near Khar Ganga. The machinery, reportedly unsecured due to rough road conditions, toppled from the trailer transporting it from Mumbai port to Surat. Rescue involved three cranes over six hours. The trailer driver fled but was later detained and booked for causing death by negligence. The victim was taken to KEM Hospital where he was declared dead.
