
The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested a state government employee, Naresh Kumar Bhuwani, in connection with a Rs 590 crore fraud involving IDFC First Bank, targeting government accounts. Bhuwani, linked to the Panchayats Department, allegedly acted as a middleman in siphoning funds through a private firm, Swastik Desh Project. Four others, including former bank employees and private individuals, were also arrested. A Special Investigation Team is probing the complex case, with over Rs 556 crore recovered and demands for a CBI inquiry ongoing.
