A 24-year-old woman, identified as S. Sumathi, was found murdered in a gunny bag on the Yercaud Ghat Road. Police investigations revealed she was strangled to death by G. Venkatesh, with whom she had an affair. Her body was discovered after locals reported a foul smell emanating from a deep gorge. Venkatesh has been apprehended, and further investigations are ongoing.
