Bengaluru police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the death of a 34-year-old software engineer. Initially believed to have died in a fire accident at her apartment on January 3, the investigation revealed she was murdered. The accused, a neighbor, allegedly entered her flat, attempted sexual assault, and suffocated her when she resisted. He then set the apartment on fire to destroy evidence and stole her mobile phone. The victim's friend's suspicion and forensic evidence led to the arrest.
