VACB Arrests Two Over Rs 14 Crore Misappropriation from Kerala Lottery Welfare Fund

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) arrested two individuals, Sangeeth K, a former Lower Division Clerk, and his associate Anilkumar, for allegedly misappropriating Rs 14 crore from the Kerala State Lottery Agents and Sellers Welfare Fund Board between 2014 and 2020. Sangeeth is accused of manipulating financial records, forging signatures, and transferring funds to personal accounts. Investigations suggest the misappropriated money was used for asset acquisition and real estate, with probes ongoing into possible involvement of other officials and continuation of fraud after Sangeeth's tenure.
