Two separate road accidents in Madhya Pradesh on New Year's Day resulted in eight fatalities, including four children. In the first incident, a pick-up vehicle struck a motorcycle, killing four individuals whose identities are still being confirmed but are believed to be local residents. The second accident involved a couple and their two children who died when their speeding motorcycle collided with a parked truck on the Jabalpur-Nagpur highway in Seoni.
