Teenager Dies After Being Beaten by Villagers in Jharkhand Over Theft Suspicion

A 19-year-old teenager, Vicky Nayak, was beaten to death by villagers in Chaya village, Ranchi district, Jharkhand, over suspicion of stealing a motor pump. The incident occurred during a panchayat meeting where he was assaulted and later declared dead at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences. Following an FIR filed by the victim's father, police arrested six individuals in connection with the lynching.
