Four Family Members Feared Drowned in Shivamogga River Canal

Four members of a family—Neelabai (50), her son Ravikumar (23), daughter Shwetha (24), and son-in-law Parashuram (28)—are feared drowned after going missing in the Bhadravathi River Left Bank Canal in Shivamogga, Karnataka. The family had visited relatives for a local festival and reportedly went to the canal to wash clothes. Police suspect one slipped into the water, and others entered trying to rescue him. Search operations by police and emergency services are ongoing but paused at night, to resume the next day.
