Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Stepdaughter in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh

In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a woman named Pooja was arrested for allegedly killing her three-year-old stepdaughter, Aditi, with an axe. The incident occurred late Tuesday night in Bijhara village when Pooja reportedly attacked the sleeping child while her husband was briefly outside. Villagers chased and detained Pooja before handing her to police. She reportedly said she was upset over her husband's affection for his daughter. The body has been sent for postmortem, and investigations continue.
