In Indore's Banganga area, unknown individuals damaged a 132 kV underground high-tension cable supplying power to the Metro project and stole four critical earthing cables. This caused one circuit of the double-circuit transmission line from the Jaitpura substation to go out of service, raising concerns about power reliability for the Metro and nearby city areas. Authorities have arranged alternative supply, while experts warn that the missing earthing cables compromise safety and could have led to a major accident.
