
Pune International Airport officials seized 745 grams of hydroponic weed worth approximately Rs 75 lakh from the lavatory of an Air India Express flight arriving from Bangkok on March 3. The contraband, found in vacuum-sealed packets inside two yellow food packets, was confiscated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible. Authorities have urged the public to report suspicious activities. Previous seizures at Pune involved larger quantities of hydroponic weed from passengers arriving from Bangkok.
