Man Arrested in Kerala Interest-Free Gold Loan Cheating Case

A 42-year-old man, P P Ismail from Ussanmukku in Edayakkad, was arrested in Kochi for allegedly cheating a homemaker in Kannur by promising an interest-free gold loan. The victim gave 62.3 grams of gold and Rs 2.5 lakh, later paying an additional Rs 1.25 lakh, but did not receive her gold or money back. The accused and associates face around 35 cases involving nearly Rs 3 crore in fraud. Police continue investigating the case.
