Gurugram Court Sentences Engineer and Operator to Four Years in Bribery Case

A Gurugram court sentenced two Haryana irrigation department employees, executive engineer Naveen Kumar Yadav and computer operator Chandrashekhar, to four years of rigorous imprisonment and fined them Rs 5,000 each for accepting a bribe in 2022. The bribe was demanded for registering a contractor's license on the Haryana Engineering Works Portal. The Anti-Corruption Bureau registered the case, and the court found the accused guilty of corruption and criminal conspiracy based on evidence and witness testimony.
