
The Kerala government has appointed senior advocate B.G. Harindranath as special public prosecutor in the sexual abuse case against Bishop Franco Mulakkal, following a request from the survivor-nun. The nun expressed gratitude to the government, Chief Minister, and public supporters. Harindranath stated that the trial court made errors disbelieving the victim and aims to challenge the acquittal in the Kerala High Court. The survivor and supporting nuns have also received ration cards amid their isolated living conditions.
