
Andhra Pradesh police began destroying over 52,000 kilograms of ganja and nearly 142 liters of hashish oil linked to more than 780 cases from Alluri Sitharama Raju and Anakapalli districts. The narcotics, seized through extensive operations involving arrests, case registrations, and technological surveillance, are being incinerated at the Coastal Waste Management Project in Parawada. Authorities also reported freezing properties worth over Rs 9 crore and supporting rehabilitation efforts, including de-addiction centers and alternative crop distribution to discourage cultivation.
