A shopkeeper was shot dead in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, following a dispute over goods. The incident occurred Thursday night in Raghopur village. Police arrested five individuals early Friday morning after an encounter, during which two suspects sustained leg injuries from retaliatory gunfire. The deceased, Santosh Singh, was shot with a country-made pistol. A case has been registered against Praveen Singh and two unidentified individuals based on a complaint from the victim's son.
