
A third-year resident doctor from Nagaland at AIIMS Gorakhpur was allegedly stalked, racially abused, and sexually harassed by three men on February 22 while returning from a mall. The accused followed her for about 1.5 kilometres, hurling racial slurs and obscene remarks, with one reportedly removing his shirt to intimidate and another touching her inappropriately near the institute's Gate No. 2. Police have registered a case and arrested three suspects based on CCTV evidence. Medical associations and political leaders have condemned the incident, highlighting concerns over racial discrimination and safety for Northeastern residents.
