Thirty-eight Bangladeshi nationals, including eight children, have been deported from Agra after completing three-year prison sentences for illegal residency. The group was arrested in February 2022 for lacking valid documents and using forged identification. Agra police are escorting them to Kolkata, where they will be handed over to Border Security Force officials on January 13 for repatriation to Bangladesh. Cases were registered under the Foreigners' Act.
