Maharashtra Youths Trafficked to Thailand-Myanmar Border After Fake Job Offers
Over 25 youths from Maharashtra, including individuals from Nashik and Beed, have been reportedly trafficked to the Thailand-Myanmar border after responding to fake job advertisements promising data entry and graphic design roles with high salaries in Bangkok. Upon arrival, they were allegedly forced into long hours of online fraud work under harsh conditions, with passports confiscated and threats of physical abuse. Authorities, including Maharashtra's Chief Minister and local police, have initiated investigations and are coordinating with the Indian Embassy to secure their safe return.
