Sabarimala Chief Priest Arrested in Second Case Linked to Gold Loss Investigation

The Sabarimala chief priest, Kandararu Rajeevaru, was arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in a second case related to the loss of gold from the temple, including allegations of a fabricated document showing gold as copper. The arrest followed approval from the Kollam Vigilance Court. Meanwhile, former Travancore Devaswom Board member K P Sankara Das remains hospitalized after his arrest, with 12 individuals, including two former board presidents, detained so far in the investigation.
