Maharashtra ACB Arrests Two Jail Staffers for Alleged Bribe in Kalyan

The Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two staffers, Satish Bhosale and Sharad Panpatil, at Adharwadi Kalyan District Jail for allegedly accepting a Rs 1,500 bribe to facilitate a meeting with an undertrial prisoner. The complainant, who was not a relative of the inmate, reported the demand, leading to a trap and subsequent arrest. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered, and further investigation and possible departmental action are underway.
