A 14-year-old male tiger, suspected of killing a tribal man on December 20 in Kerala's Wayanad district, has been captured. Forest officials confirmed the tiger, identified as WL 48, was trapped early Friday morning. The animal is reportedly weak and unable to hunt properly, leading it to stray into human settlements. Due to its age and history of human conflict, the tiger will not be released back into the wild and will undergo a health examination before being moved to a rehabilitation or conservation center.
