A key suspect in the murder of Osman Hadi, Faisal Karim Masud, has released a video from Dubai denying his involvement and claiming he is being framed. Masud stated his business dealings with Hadi were for government contracts and that Jamaat-Shibir may be responsible. This contradicts Bangladesh police claims that Masud fled to India, a claim denied by Indian Border Security Force officials. Hadi was shot on December 12 during an election campaign and died on December 18.
