
A suicide bomber detonated explosives near a police checkpost in Pakistan's Bhakkar district around 7 pm on Tuesday, killing two police personnel and injuring four others, including one officer and three civilians. The attack occurred during a search operation near the Dera Ismail Khan-Punjab bridge, disrupting traffic as authorities suspended road access and launched a search. The extremist group Ansar al Islam Pakistan, affiliated with Ittehadul Mujahideen Pakistan, claimed responsibility. CCTV footage captured the attacker approaching the checkpost before the blast.
