Manipur Police Arrest KCP Cadres for Extorting Nurses at JNIMS Hospital

Manipur police arrested eight cadres of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), including four individuals linked to extorting Rs 39 lakh from contractual nurses at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal. The arrests followed an FIR filed by the victims, with authorities recovering cash, a pistol, ammunition, and mobile phones. The extorted funds were reportedly transferred to the underground KCP (Taibangnganba) outfit, based on interrogation of active cadres.
