Chhattisgarh DSP Kalpana Verma Suspended Over Financial Irregularities Allegations

The Chhattisgarh government suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police Kalpana Verma from Dantewada district following a preliminary inquiry into allegations of financial irregularities. The investigation, prompted by a complaint from businessman Deepak Tandon, found evidence of misuse of position, illegal financial gains, acquisition of disproportionate assets, and sharing of sensitive police information via WhatsApp. Verma will be attached to the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur during suspension and receive subsistence allowance as per rules.
