Thieves drilled into a German bank vault in Gelsenkirchen during the holiday period, stealing an estimated tens of millions of euros in cash, gold, and jewelry from over 3,000 safe deposit boxes. The highly organized group reportedly entered through an underground garage and used a large drill to access the vault. The theft, discovered after a fire alarm, is considered one of Germany's largest recent heists, affecting approximately 2,700 customers. The perpetrators remain at large.
