Bombay High Court Judge Loses Rs 6.02 Lakh in Credit Card Cyber Fraud

A Bombay High Court judge lost Rs 6.02 lakh in a cyber fraud while attempting to redeem credit card reward points. After failing to reach the bank's official customer care, she contacted a fraudulent number and received an 18MB WhatsApp file. Following instructions, she used her domestic help's Android phone to download the file and entered her credit card details. The amount was debited in multiple transactions, prompting her to block the card and file an FIR with Mumbai police. Authorities have registered a case against unknown suspects under relevant cheating and IT laws.
