Vikrant Thakur, a 42-year-old Indian-origin man in Adelaide, Australia, has admitted responsibility for his wife Supriya Thakur's death but pleaded not guilty to murder, instead seeking a manslaughter charge. Supriya, 36, was found unconscious at their home in December and could not be revived despite CPR. The case is adjourned until April pending DNA and post-mortem results. A fundraiser has been launched to support Supriya's son with funeral and ongoing expenses.
