Four Arrested in Pune After Doctor Kidnapped and Rs 19 Lakh Ransom Paid

On January 10, Dr. Vitthal Kisan Chaudhary and his driver Rajendra Chagan Rajguru were traveling near Uruli Kanchan when four men, including Rajguru, abducted the doctor at knifepoint. The kidnappers demanded Rs 19 lakh ransom, receiving Rs 4 lakh initially and the remaining Rs 15 lakh later. Pune Rural Police arrested the driver and three accomplices, recovering vehicles and cash linked to the crime. The doctor was released after the ransom payment and subsequently reported the incident to authorities.
